Zebra ZC100/300 Series Card Printers Recognised with 2019 iF DESIGN AWARD

13 May 2019

Zebra Technologies have announced that their ZC100 and ZC300 series card printers have received the prestigious iF Design Award in the discipline of product design.

The ZC100 and ZC300 series card printers offer unique industrial design with the slimmest profile and lowest clearance in their class. They can be installed in space-constrained environments such as under a counter or shelf, and the printers’ covers are customisable to reflect their environment. They also feature an advanced card feeder that automatically adjusts to the thickness of each card, eliminating the error-prone process of manually adjusting for different card stocks. In addition, swing-open card output doors and a new ribbon door design simplify their loading and unloading process.

Whether you need to print single-sided employee identity badges or membership and event guest cards, card printing is a crucial aspect of your business. Deployment flexibility and the time it takes to print and manage your card printing solutions all have an impact on your business — from your brand image to staff productivity to overall operational efficiency. The ZC100 and ZC300 are designed to address it all.

Even though both printer series are built for business, they have the consumer good looks required to fit in customer-facing areas – from the corporate office to the university to the retail store. And the printer cover lock on the ZC300 provides security by preventing theft of card stock and rejected cards.

Elegant engineering of the ZC300 card printers eliminate virtually all pain points associated with card printing. The result is push-button simplicity no matter what you are printing — single or dual-sided magnetic stripe or contactless cards, in colour or black and white. And with a ground-breaking fits-everywhere design, you can get secure card printing wherever you need it.

Established in 1953, the iF Design Award has been recognised as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design. It is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. The 2019 awards were among the most competitive ever, with 67 design experts from 20 countries evaluating approximately 6,375 entries from 52 countries.
